A New Organic Fertilizer Launched by BioWorks

BioWorks Inc., an industry leader in providing environmentally responsible, safe, and cost-effective solutions to the growing needs of the horticulture industry, has launched a new organic fertilizer and biostimulant called ON-Gard. The new fertilizer contains organic nitrogen and vegetal amino acids and is 100-percent plant derived. Vegetal acids increase plant growth and enhance nutrient uptake as well as the speed of absorption by leaves, which in turn transfer the fertilizer quickly throughout the plant. Moreover, ON-Gard is 100-percent water-soluble and supplies plants with potassium and nitrogen as well as additional peptides and amino acids.

The company has more than 20 years of experience in horticulture, specialty agriculture and turf markets where it focuses on the provision of environmentally responsible, effective and safe products to tackle nutrition problems, pests and plant diseases. BioWorks, Inc. is generally committed to creating a safer environment. Its new product can be applied as root dip, root drench or foliar spray and is suitable for all plants. ON-Gard has been proven to be very effective at nutrient demand periods like germination, bloom, fruit development and sugar assimilation.

The company said that it was very excited about offering another innovative and organic fertilizer. According to Joe Gionta, Director of Marketing and Sales, “while formidable on its own, ON-Gard can also improve the uptake and efficacy of other products such as RootShield and RootShield Plus.” Organic fertilizers are generally derived from animal matter, excreta or vegetable matter such as compost or manure whereas the majority of fertilizers are extracted from minerals such as phosphate rock or are produced industrially, like ammonia. Naturally occurring organic fertilizers include animal wastes from meat processing, peat, manure, slurry, and guano.
